Surround Yourself in Luxury at Grille 66

Location: 2301 SE 17th St., Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Located on the Hyatt Pier 66 premise, this restaurant looks out over the Intracoastal Waterway, with a breathtaking view from any seat in the house.

Everything from the minute you enter the building evokes luxury, all the way down to the tiny shaped butters served with the bread before your meal. However nothing shouts it from the rooftop more than the view of the yachts parked in the hotel's marina.

If you can take your eyes away from the view long enough to read the menu, you will find that it is jam packed with delicious goodies, including every type of seafood you can imagine along with steaks, pastas, and chicken. Each is prepared in a mix of sauces and herbs, which perfectly complement the main course. My personal favorite are the Twin Maryland Crab Cakes with Frites and Roasted Corn and Jalapeno Relish. They are just as good, if not better, than eating fresh crab cakes at a fish market on the Potomic.

However, everything is served Ala Carte, and with an average meal running around $30, adding sides can bump the price close to $50. Be prepared to spend upwards of $150 per couple plus gratuity to dine here. But believe me, it is all worth the experience. Not to mention the hotel has a rotating bar on the top floor, which as I hear has the best view of the city in town. Sadly, I have never been up there, but you can be sure I will visit on my next visit!
