This isn't so much about one certain place, as much as an activity. I've always been against putting on shoes hundreds possibly thousands of people have put their sweaty little toes in, but I recently broke down and stepped foot into a bowling alley.
All these years of putting it off, and now I'm addicted.
Bring a group of friends to the local bowling alley in your neighboorhood, order some pitchers and fried food, and play it out amongst your own little teams. No need to worry about how good you bowl or if you ever have before because after the second pitcher even the professional bowlers in your group will be splitting the gutters.
Splitting the gutters or hitting strikes, you will definitely leave laughing as someone is destined to fall flat on their butt or throw the ball backwards. All in the name of drunken sports.
My favorite place is Don Carter's on the southwest corner of University Drive and Southgate Road. They have the most lanes around, so it's always easier to get into a lane, even when the leagues are running. And as an added bonus, they run leagues for people just wanting to have some fun, or for people ITB.
And if your still a little freaked out, just go and join in on the drinking and watch. After a few pitchers or mixed drinks you'll put all your reservations aside and slip (pun intended) on down to the lane.
