Dave & Buster's, A Playground for the Kid at Heart

Location: 3000 Oakwood Blvd. Hollywood, Fla.

Leave the kids with the sitter, dress comfortable enough to move, and shoot on down to Dave & Buster's in the Oakwood Plaza just off I-95 and Sterling Road.

There are always good times to be had when you mix arcade games with a full liquor bar and a group of adults just waiting to release some stress. This is where it happens.

But that's not all. This place can also double as one of the best first dates places in town. You can start with some drinks, ease up on the nerves, have some dinner from their delicious menu (which suprisingly for this type of place is much more that burgers and fried finger foods), then let loose and get to know eachother while playing your favorite games.

Games range from Skee Ball to the latest high tech video arcade game, and some of the classics like Mortal Kombat. Some of the games can be pricey, and as a rule of thumb remember that the more interactive it is (ie your riding on a pony during game play) the more money it will cost. However, they are always running specials where you buy dinner and you get some game play free. These specials are always changing, sometimes weekly, so I'm not going to quote any here.

Another great thing is that it is located in one of the largest plazas around town, full of other restaurants, shops, and even a movie theatre if your up for more fun after. Either way, Dave & Busters is a guaranteed place for fun.
